First international titles
Martin Jessopp announced himself on the international road race scene at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland last night.
He took his maiden victory in the opening Supersport race after pre-race favourite Alistair Seeley retired early on.
Ian Hutchinson was second with James Hillier completing the podium.
Jessopp then won the Supertwin race in lap record-breaking fashion ahead of Michael Rutter and Ivan Lintin.
Manx rider Dave Madsen Mygdal came home in 19th position.
Alistair Seeley did win an unmatched 18th title at The Triangle Course by claiming the Superstock contest.
He finished comfortably ahead of Lee Johnston with Dean Harrison third meaning he has a podium finish at all four international meetings.
Manx racer Dan Kneen retired at the end of the opening lap while Dave Madsen Mygdal finished yet another top flight race in 34th position.
