Athletic could cut cap at the top
With leaders St Mary's not in action this weekend, Douglas Athletic have the chance to close the gap at the top of the Canada Life Premier League to just one point.
The Springfield Road outfit have been the surprise package in the top flight this season, with five wins from their seven league games.
That's been in no small part down to the rich vein of form of attacking duo of Mark Wolfenden and Mikey Callister, who've scored 11 goals between them.
Eighth-placed St John's are the visitors this weekend as they look to avoid making it three games without a win.
Their last victory came away from Mullen-y-Cloie when they defeated Castletown 2-1 on 5 September.
A win for St John's could see them leapfrog Rushen and move up one place to seventh, providing the Spaniards lose away at Douglas Royal.
Hockey: Two wins for travelling junior sides
Rugby: Vagabonds ladies stay with Island based sponsor
Athletics: Christa Cain second in Athens 10km
Taekwondo: Three golds for Isle of Man competitor at British Championships
