Douglas claim losing bonus point; Vagas thrash Trentham

Douglas lost away in a tough game at Bowdon in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One but managed to earn a losing bonus point to ensure the trip wasn’t a wasted one.

Craig Lea and Cark Markl-Ferns both crossed for Douglas tries and Bryn Snellgrove converted both.

In Division Two, Vagabonds put on an impressive show at Ballafletcher, defeating Trentham 88-10.

Sam Liver bagged a hat-trick for Vagas, there were two apiece from Ross Pulman, Joe Louw and Ross McCulloch and solitary tries from Josh Carine, Tom Gascoyne, Ryan Pope and Alec Burns.

Carine kicked one conversion and Liver eight.

Rich Irwin scored a consolation try for the visitors with Sam Bedworth kicking a penalty and a conversion.

Player availability was a big issue for Knutsford who conceded their game to Ramsey in Division Three after arriving with just 12 players and no front row. The match was played as a friendly and Ramsey won 75-7 and have since been awarded the points.
