After a couple of recent slip ups, Douglas bounced back to winning ways in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One with a 36-0 victory against bottom side Ashton on Mersey at Port-e-Chee.
The try bonus point was secured by half-time when Douglas led 22-0, courtesy of tries from Liam King (two), Christian Brew and Glenn Smith.
In the second half, Craig McGee and Carl Markl-Ferns added two more to put the result beyond any doubt.
Bryn Snellgrove kicked three conversions.
Douglas move back into the top three and, with two games in hand, they still have a good chance of promotion.
