Point lead ahead of top of table clash
Douglas beat Wigan 102-3 in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One and moved a point clear at the top of the table after closest rivals Broughton Park – their opponents next week - had their game postponed.
With Wigan struggling all season it was a great opportunity for Douglas to build a big score and they took it right from the off and were 46-3 ahead by half-time.
Among the Douglas scorers, Sam Randle ran in two, as did Lance Wyllie, and there were also tries from Guy Wood and Karl Evans.
Bryn Snellgrove’s return to first team action saw him score a hatful of points from the kicking tee.
