Team pulls out of ConIFA World Cup after travel advice
The Manx International Football Alliance has entered a competition in Northern Italy next summer after withdrawing from the ConIFA World Cup.
The decision was taken after advice from the U.K. Foreign Office that travel to Abkhazia in the north-west corner of Georgia was not recommended due to the unstable political situation in the area.
The new tournament is the Europeada Football Championships in South Tyrol and will feature 22 other teams as well as Ellan Vannin.
The draw was made earlier this week and Chris Bass's side will play hosts South Tyrol, North Frisians and the Germans in Poland.
The competition will run between 18th and 26th June 2016.
