Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish's HTC Highroad team is to fold at the end of the current season.
Confirming the news last night (Thursday), team manager Bob Stapleton said after an exhaustive search to secure long-term sponsorship, it was time to release team members to pursue other options.
Cav has been with HTC since he turned professional in 2007, but his contract was due to end anyway at the end of this year.
Earlier this week he said he knew which team he would be riding for next year, although he wasn't saying which one yet.
There has been heavy speculation linking the 26-year-old with Team Sky.
