Ex-England star Radford to speak at cricket dinner

Former England test star Neal Radford is to be the main speaker at the Isle of Man Cricket Association’s Annual Dinner and Prize Presentation.

He played for Lancashire before spending ten years with Worcestershire.

In a sparkling career Neal took nearly one thousand wickets and was named Wisden Cricketer of the Year for 1986.

The dinner is to be held at the Hilton Hotel on Friday, November 13th.

Tickets and further details can be had from secretary Sue Davidson on 618837 or 316069.

Another England test player will be on the Island at the end of the month.

Richard Dawson is coming over to hold special coaching sessions with the Manx senior eleven and selected juniors.

And even more will be here next year.

The renowned “Old England Eleven” club are coming to play the Island during the summer.

Their squad includes well-known names such as Derek Randall, John Lever, Chris Cowdrey, John Snow and Roger Tolchard.

More details will be available shortly.
