Ravens to play two games in two days at The Bowl

A demanding weekend awaits for FC Isle of Man with two games in two days at The Bowl this Saturday and Sunday (12-13 February).

The Ravens go into this weekend having secured six wins on the bounce and sitting second in the NWCFL Div 1 South table.

First up will be a clash against Cammell Laird 1907 at 6.30pm on Saturday.

The last time the Island side came up against their opponents from the Wirral was back on the 4 September, with the Ravens running out comfortable 6-1 winners at the Prabhu Ventures Ltd. Arena.

The visitors - who sit 13th in the table - have three wins from their last six in all competitions.

However, their last two league games have seen them suffer a 7-2 home defeat to Maine Road last weekend (5 February) which followed a 6-0 loss away to Abbey Hulton United (29 January).

Meanwhile, after tomorrow night, FC Isle of Man have less than 24 hours before they're back on the pitch again to take on Eccleshall at 1.45pm on Sunday.

The Staffordshire club are six points above the relegation zone in 17th position, and will be hoping to build on an important 3-1 home win against Abbey Hulton United last time out (5 February).

If the Ravens were to win both fixtures, they could temporarily go just two points behind league leaders West Didsbury & Chorlton who themselves face Eccleshall this coming Tuesday (15 February).

However the Manx club, as of Sunday, will have played three games more than the first-placed side at that point.

FC Isle of Man vs Cammell Laird will kick-off at 6.30pm on Saturday - FC Isle of Man vs Eccleshall gets underway at 1.45pm on Sunday.

Manx Radio will be bringing full live commentary of both games on our AM1368 and Digital platforms.
