FC IoM urges against use of flares during games

Plea as part of heartfelt club tribute to 'vital' fan support

FC Isle of Man is urging fans against the use of flares and pyrotechnics during it's matches.

The club has made the plea as part of a tribute to the support the team has received during it's first league campaign.

The statement follows the Manx side's enthralling 4-3 victory over West Didsbury & Chorlton at The Bowl last Saturday (26 February) which 2,395 fans attended.

The Ravens are also reminding supporters not to pass over barriers in the stadium unless instructed to do so for safety reasons.

The Island club adds any safety breaches regarding flares and trespassing on the pitch could lead to the club facing sanctions in future.

FC IoM says it doesn't want to dilute the passion and enthusiasm of supporters but wants fans to be able to attend matches in an environment safe for all.
