Ravens can secure place in division for next season if they avoid defeat

FC Isle of Man will be hoping to bounce back from consecutive home defeats when they host Cheadle Town in the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

Both sides are separated by one place and five points in the table going into their meeting at The Bowl on Saturday (21 March).

The Manx side would mathematically secure their place in the division for next season if they avoid defeat against their latest opponents tomorrow night.

Their visitors, meanwhile, are also hoping for a boost of their own to improve on a recent run of one victory from their last five.

Over the last fortnight, FC Isle of Man's defeats to promotion-chasing sides Atherton Laburnum Rovers and Chadderton are the first time they've recorded back-to-back defeats on home soil since January.

With regards to their latest opposition, the Islanders have only lost once at home to Cheadle Town in all competitions since they first met in October 2021.

However, Cheadle Town do have the upper hand when it comes to the current head-to-head standings between both sides, having emerged victorious in five of their eight encounters with FC Isle of Man so far.

Jake Edwards' side will also be hoping for a repeat of the reverse fixture at The Ground Up Solutions Stadium in September 2025 where they registered a 3-1 win over their hosts this weekend.

FC Isle of Man vs Cheadle Town takes place at The Bowl in Douglas this Saturday (21 March), kicking-off at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
