Goals from Ben Wosser and Ste Whitley fire Ravens to victory
Goals from Ste Whitley and Ben Wosser helped FC Isle of Man to a 2-1 victory over Abbey Hey in the NWCFL Premier Division.
Wosser opened the scoring shortly before half time, before the home side levelled after the break.
Hey piled on the pressure as they pushed for a winner, but against the run of play Sam Baines played the ball in for Whitley, who fired into the back of the net.
The hosts came close to equalising late on, hitting the Ravens' crossbar in stoppage time, but the Manx side survived the late pressure to come away with the win.
FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones admitted to the club's media at full-time that his side rode their luck at times on the way to victory:
FC Isle of Man's next match is away against Barnoldswick Town on Saturday, kicking-off at 2pm at the Silentnight Stadium.
