Fell League returns this weekend

Ardwhallan race a testing opener

Runners will be taking to the hills this weekend, as the opening round of the 2019 Manx Fell League takes place on Saturday.

The Ardwhallan race will be held over what's described as a testing 12km course which includes 750m of ascent.

The course is a loop which starts and finishes at the Ardwhallan Outdoor Pursuit Centre, West Baldwin,

Registration is from 12.15pm, with the race starting at 1.30pm.

Organisers say full safety kit is compulsory for all runners and this will be checked at registration.

They add there is a first aid course taking place at the centre on the day of the race, which will limit the number of parking spaces available.

The nearby Colden car park can take quite a few vehicles, but competitors are strongly advised to car share.
