Defender hits winner against AFC Fylde
Adam Long scored his senior professional goal last night, as he helped Notts County grab an away win in the National League.
His strike sealed a 2-1 victory away to AFC Fylde.
The 19-year-old bagged the winner for County by connecting with a Jim O'Brien corner to head home his first goal for the club with 14 minutes remaining.
The result has propelled the Magpies up into sixth place.
Long is currently on a one-month loan at the Meadow Lane side from Wigan Athletic.
The club has subsequently posted a short interview with Adam on its Twitter feed:
"The emotions got the better of me and the adrenaline as well. I was just running around like a headless chicken." 🤣
