Priority for games that matter
The Island’s FA says it’s all but run out of time to get this year’s football fixtures played.
Poor weather has played havoc with the season’s schedule, with rain and flooding leading to dozens of games being postponed.
Clubs have been playing during the week to try to clear a backlog – which at one point tallied more than 220 matches – but without success.
FA Fixtures Secretary Tony Mepham says at this point he doesn’t believe all the games can be played in time:
Football: Peel close gap on Corinthians in premier league title race
Rugby: Douglas secure Regional 2 North West play-off spot despite defeat
FC Isle of Man narrowly beaten in cracker against Charnock Richard
Round two of 2026 ARA Championship beckons
