Football: Foxdale with chance to go top of Division 2

Corinthians aiming to go further clear in premier league this weekend

A new leader could establish themselves at the top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 this weekend if certain results occur in the latest, upcoming Isle of Man football clashes.

In Saturday's match-ups (3 October), with second tier leaders, Castletown without a game this week, Foxdale could move into top spot if they defeat Michael United by three or more goals on the road.

Elsewhere, Gymns remain in close attendance just three points outside the Division 2 top two ahead of home meeting with Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB.).

Meanwhile, Corinthians remain four points clear and unbeaten at the top of the Canada Life Men's Premier League heading into tomorrow's matches.

After dropping their first points of the season last weekend, Corinthians could go as many as seven points atht the summit if they beat Braddan and Union Mills in third lose out at home to St Mary's.

Peel in second are without a match this weekend.

Separately, on Sunday (4 October), the current top two in the Canada Life Women's League face off - just goal difference currently splits Peel at the top and Douglas Royal in second.

The other two women's fixtures will see Onchan welcome Douglas & District and Rushen United host Corinthians.
