Football: IoM FA expands women & girls development team

It's part of wider goal to give women equal access to the sport

The Isle of Man Football Association has made two new appointments to expand its development of the women and girls game locally.

The organisation has announced Dani Foster and Stevie Mallon have taken up part-time roles to aid the wider objective of making sure women and girls get equal access to opportunities in the sport on Island.

Dani has been made Equal Games Ambassador and this will include providing off-field support.

As part of it, the aim is to create, maintain and develop the female offering in football to make sure inclusive, safe and accessible opportunities are available.

Meanwhile, Stevie takes up the position of Women & Girls Community Champion.

In her work, Stevie will look to identify, recruit and support female volunteers at the beginning of their coaching journey as well as assist the growth of recreational football for all.

The duo, who both play for the Corinthians women's squad, will work alongside the FA's Women & Girls Football Development Officer, Simon Elson, and Development Manager, Lewis Qualtrough.
