Another round of midweek league clashes gets underway later

Peel will be aiming to go top of the Canada Life Men's Premier League when the latest midweek Manx football clashes get underway this evening (21 April).

Among nine fixtures on the cards tonight, the westerners could leapfrog Corinthians into top spot when they host 'Old Firm' rivals, Rushen United at Douglas Road.

Going into this evening, Peel only trail current leaders, Corinthians - who don't have a match later - on goal difference and also have two games in hand.

In Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2, Colby hold a 16-point lead at the summit ahead of a trip to Malew tonight.

Meanwhile, the fierce battle for second spot and the final promotion place in Division 2 rages on - just three points separate Castletown down to Marown in fourth - both of those sides are also in action later on against St George's and Pulrose United respectively.

The other side in the mix for promotion, Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.), are without a midweek fixture this time around.

All of tonight's matches are due to get underway at 6.30pm - you can view the full schedule below:
