Peel and Corinthians still neck-and-neck in Combi 1 tussle
Pulrose United have edged in front in the fierce battle for the Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Combination Two title after another round of midweek Manx football action last night (22 April).
The side's 5-2 home win over Michael United was their 20th win in 22 games so far and takes them three points clear at the summit ahead of Douglas Athletic in second who were 3-1 winners over Colby yesterday evening.
Third-placed Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) - who didn't have a game last night - are just two points further back on Douglas Athletic and with a game in hand on both teams above.
Meanwhile, in Canada Life Combination One, Peel and Corinthians remain locked together at the top of the standings on 54 points with the former leading by virtue of goal difference.
However, both have now played 24 games which completes their league seasons whilst Ramsey in third - who also won on Wednesday evening - still have two games in hand on Peel and Corinthians and are just two points further back.
This means the northerners need only three points from their last two games to snatch the title.
Corinthians swept to a 7-2 win over St Mary's last night whilst Peel were awarded an away walkover against Union Mills.
