Rushen United and Union Mills aiming to field squads for 25/26
The Isle of Man women's football league will expand to seven teams for the 2025/26 season.
The Isle of Man FA has confirmed both Rushen United and Union Mills are intending to field female squads during the next campaign.
This comes as it's also announced there will be a change to the structure of the Canada Life Women's Floodlit Cup competition which will see it revert to a fully 11-a-side format.
Isle of Man FA President, Tony Mepham agrees that seeing two more female clubs entering the system could be a positive step forward for the local game:
Christa Cain called up to Commonwealth Games squad
Football: Double victory for IoM men in tri-tournament
2027 Pre-TT Classic and Southern 100 dates confirmed
Jamie Cringle back on Island to continue recovery
