Three points separate Castletown, Foxdale and Gymns
The race for promotion from the Ardern & Druggan Ltd Div 2 did not let up at the weekend (17 October), as the league's top three all picked up winning points on Saturday.
Leaders Castletown beat Douglas Royal 4-0, while Foxdale who are one point behind in second place took maximum points from their fixture with Douglas High School Old Boys (DHSOB).
Meanwhile, Gymns in third beat Marown by three goals to two as they stay two points behind The Miners, however, the Douglas side has played a game more than Castletown and Foxdale.
Elsewhere, Peel and Union Mills closed the gap to the Canada Life Premier League leaders.
The westerners put in a comprehensive performance to beat RYCOB 6-0 away from home, which means the champions moved to within four points of Corinthians, who didn't play on Saturday.
Meanwhile, second place Union Mills swept aside Onchan with a 6-2 victory, which leaves them three points behind The Whites and with a game in hand of the leaders too.
Braddan put some touching distance between themselves and the drop zone with victory over Colby.
The Swans are now six points ahead of the southerners.
