Northerners claim silverware in finale to latest Manx season
Ramsey Youth Centre & Old Boys (Rycob.) have won the 2026 Paul Henry Gold Cup after a 2-1 win over Castletown on Saturday (13 June).
In what was the last action of the 2025/26 Manx football campaign, the northerners broke the deadlock early in the second half through a Layton Ballard penalty.
Ten minutes later, 'Youthie' doubled their advantage when a low Ballard cross from the right was met by Castletown defender, Harry Hinks who diverted the ball into his own net from around six yards.
With around three minutes of normal time left, Castletown pulled one back through a deflected Jacob Glover strike from around 25 yards.
However, that wasn't enough for the southerners as Rycob. went on to lift the trophy at the full-time whistle - their second piece of silverware this season having also secured the 2026 GH Corlett Woods Cup in April as well as promotion to the Canada Life Men's Premier League for the 2026/27 season.
