Former World Superbike rider to make T.T. debut

Italian Polita taking on Mountain Course challenge

Former World Superbike Championship rider and double Italian Superbike Champion Alessandro Polita is to make his debut at T.T. 2016.

The 31-year old Italian will ride a BMW S1000R for former T.T. competitor Roberto Antonellini in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior races.

Polita competed in 22 races at the World Superbike level and won the European 1000 Superstock Championship in 2006.

He recently visited the Island and toured the Mountain Course with Richard "Milky" Quayle.

His favoured race number is 53.
