Full Grids for T.T. 2009

All five of this year's solo T.T. races will have a full grid of 80 riders, as organisers announce one of the strongest entries for years.

Reserves are also lined up if riders drop out of the Superbike, Supersport, Superstock and Senior classes...all of which were oversubscribed.

53 crews will line-up for the two Sidecar events.

Sports Editor Tim Glover reports:-

Some stats from today's news - 13 teams from the British Championships and two from World Endurance will come to the T.T. paddock.

20 solo newcomers plus World Sidecar race winners Ben and Tom Birchall will compete around the Mountain Course for the first time.

13 former champions with 60 wins between them will lead the race for honours - McGuinness, Molyneux, Lougher, Anstey, Crowe, Archibald, Donald, Plater, Farquhar, Palmer, Hanks, Rutter and Hutchinson.

20 different countries will be represented at T.T. 2009.

The one unknown figure for organisers - how many visitors will be attracted over by such a strong line-up in a time of economic woe?
