Spanish rider facing medical bill after testing crash at Jurby
Almost £3,000 has been donated to help a road racer injured while testing ahead of the Festival of Motorcycling.
Victor Lopez needed a three-hour operation to fit a new hip following his high-speed crash at Jurby Motordrome.
The Spanish rider's insurance for the TT Course doesn't cover him for Jurby, leaving him facing a large medical bill.
Fellow racer Andy Fenton set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the cost, which has already passed its target of £2,800.
An update on the page says Lopez is "overwhelmed" with the support he's received.
