Rowany player gets Open invite
Manx golf professional Tom Gandy is to play his first full European Tour event next week.
He's been invited to compete in the South African Open in Johannesburg which starts on Thursday 9 January.
It will be the strongest field the Rowany player has ever been in with world number 20 and 2010 Open winner Louis Oosthuizen the highest ranked golfer on the provisional entry list.
Other world top 100 players taking part include Eddie Pepperell, Eric Van Rooyen, Shaun Norris, Justin Harding and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
Other famous names include Brandan Grace, Chris Wood, George Coetzee, Andy Sullivan and Charl Schwartzel.
