Geordies close in on Premier Crown

Football - victory on Saturday afternoon for St. George's will see them crowned as the first winners of the Sure Mobile Premier League.

The game against Gymns at Glencrutchery Road kicks-off early at 12.30pm.

Three points will seal the title for the fourth time in the past five years, and for the 10th time in history.

A second attempt to get the weekend Cricket League underway will also be made after last weekend's washout, but the weather forecast isn't encouraging.

Champions Castletown are due to play southern rivals Valkyres at King William's College.
