Racer explains decision to not take part at TT 2023
Glenn Irwin has explained his decision not to take part in TT 2023, describing the British Superbike Championship as 'my bread and butter'.
The Northern Irishman confirmed this week he won't attend the races next year after signing with PBM Ducati for the BSB.
He also wants the chance to focus on family commitments.
He became the fastest TT newcomer in history when he made his debut on the Snaefell Mountain Course this year for Honda Racing UK.
But speaking to Manx Radio, Irwin insists 'this isn't a retirement', and says he may be open to returning in future if circumstances allow:
Football: Foxdale relegated from Canada Life Men's Premier League
Rugby: Douglas Celts claim Manx Cup
TT2026: McGuinness to lead out Superbike, Superstock and Senior races
Isle of Man Youth & Junior Cycling Tour returns for 2026
