Glover the star as Malew shock Michael

Malew caused a shock to reach the quarter-finals of the Paddy Power FA Cup on Saturday.

Andy Glover was the hat-trick hero as the Division Two southerners won 4-3 at Premier League Michael after extra-time.

Kraig Marsh grabbed the other as Malew set up a last eight trip to 2013 winners St Mary’s.

They came from behind to win 2-1 at Union Mills in another tie that went to extra-time.

Dominic McGreevey and Marc Priestnal grabbed the goals.

Ronan McDonnell had put the Millers in front.

The third tie of the day that went to extra-time saw Colby see off Pulrose United 4-1.

Danny Kniveton was the difference between the sides who were deadlocked at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

He hit a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Brett Alcotte.

Barry English had given Pulrose a half-time advantage.

Holders St George’s won 4-0 at battling Onchan, courtesy of Conor Doyle, Ciaran McNulty and two Jack McVey penalties.

They will now host Corinthians who saw off St John’s 2-0, thanks to Sean Doyle and own goal.

Last season’s beaten finalists Ramsey were too strong for Braddan with a 3-1 success, thanks to a Matty Skillicorn double.

Doubles from David and Gary Quirk, plus a Darren Hudgeon, strike earned Old Boys a 5-0 home triumph over promotion chasing Marown, who finished with 10 men.
