Peel competitor taking part off the back of impressive 2022 campaign
A Manx golfer is making her professional debut in Africa today (2 February).
Two-time Isle of Man Ladies Champion, Ana Dawson, is taking part in the Magical Kenya Ladies Open - an event on the Ladies European Tour (LET) - from today (2 February) until Sunday (5 February).
The Peel player teed off for the first time at Vipingo Ridge in Mombasa this morning.
The event as a whole has an overall purse of €350,000 with the winner taking home €45,000 and the first LET trophy of the season.
Ana's involvement comes off the back of a successful campaign in 2022.
It included national and international amateur victories in the prestigious Faldo Series before she earned a Category 16 at the Ladies European Tour 'Q-School' in December last year.
Her Q-School performance means she will get access to take part in certain events on the LET throughout 2023.
