Great conditions allow for full practice session

Hutchinson falls just short of 130mph lap in opening Superbike practice session

Competitors were able to get in a full TT practice session in the glorious Manx sunshine this evening.

The Superbikes, Superstocks, Supersports, newcomers and sidecars all managed to get some laps in around the famous Mountain Course.

Twenty-three time winner John McGuinness will have to be at his best if he's to surpass Joey Dunlop's all-time record of victories at this year's TT.

Both Ian Hutchinson and Michael Dunlop were quicker on the Superbikes - the Bingley Bullet just shy of a 130mph lap.

Dean Harrison posted the fastest time in the Supersport class with Lee Johnston and Steve Mercer rounding off the top three.

It was Harrison who also dominated in the Superstock practice as he posted the two quickest laps.

Michael Dunlop, Peter Hickman and McGuinness were all left trailing in the wake of Harrison's impressive 128mph lap.

Meanwhile John Holden and Andrew Winkle had a great session in fine conditions around the course in their sidecar.

They were faster than both Ian and Carl Bell and the Birchall brothers as they registered a 112mph lap.
