Ballasalla A remain top after crushing victory

Island captain Ashley Hall put in a stellar performance as her SMP Ballasalla A thrashed bottom side Thompson 2 to remain top of the Newfield Netball Premier League.

They ran out 46-14 winners as their championship charge continued in full force.

Second-placed Simcocks Red Eagles also registered a win to keep up the pressure on their title rivals, however.

The defending champions beat Thomspon 1 48-36 - meaning they're still three points behind Ballasalla with a game in hand.

Thompson 2 are rooted to the foot of the table, three points adrift of safety with five games to play.
