Newcomers being invited to try out the sport over the next week
There are hopes the Isle of Man could compete in the English handball leagues in the next few years.
That's according to one of the key organisers of the sport on Island, Mick Hegarty who believes locally it's making 'fantastic' progress.
Right now though Isle of Man Handball Club is encouraging people of all abilities to try out the sport at two taster sessions on 4 April and 11 April between 6pm and 8pm at The Roundhouse in Braddan.
Mr Hegarty says the social environment within the club for beginners and experienced players alike is something they're proud of:
Boxing: Sam Rennie to face journeyman Rengkung
Hockey: New Manx women's squad to make EH championships debut
Snooker: Port St Mary Legion leap back to the top
