The Isle of Man’s dream is over!
They have been beaten by Jersey in the final of the Inter-League Cup in front of more than 3,300 fans at the Bowl.
It was a bitter blow for the Manx and their supporters who looked to be on course to clinch the silverware and qualify for Europe.
The Manx had led through a Lee Gale goal early in the second period before an own goal 40 seconds from normal time took the match into extra-time where a Jack Cannan penalty secured Jersey a 2-1 win to deflate the Manx.
Tim Glover reported on frantic closing stages.
