Manx player loses first knockout match
Manx ex-professional snooker player Darryl Hill is out of the EBSA European Men's Championships in Israel, losing in the last 64 this afternoon.
The 22-year-old was 3-1 ahead and looking comfortable in a first-to-four match against Patrik Tiihonen, but the 19-year-old Finn fought back to win 4-3 and progress to the next round.
Hill was seeded 11th for the knockout stages, after winning four out of four matches in his round-robin group.
The former world number 75 won the under-21 version of the event in 2015, which gained him a two-year professional World Snooker tour card.
