Hill's bid to return to pro tour underway

Islander dropped off the tour due to health issues last summer

Manx snooker player Darryl Hill begins his campaign to return to the professional tour today (Fri 9).

He's competing at the EBSA European Snooker Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria - the winner gets a place on the pro circuit for the next two years.

Having been plagued with health problems, Darryl dropped off the tour last summer following a two-year spell, which he gained by winning the European Under-21 Championship in March 2015.

Darryl's been drawn in a group stage against Michael Collumb of Scotland, Joona Koskela of Finland, Vladyslav Vyshnevskyy of Ukraine and Nikolai Georgiev of Bulgaria.

You can follow the progress of the former Manx Under-21 sportsman of the year and World Snooker 'rookie of the year' by going to ebsa.tv, which broadcasts live scoring from every match and selected video streams.
