Manx side hit six to take national title in Nottingham
The Isle of Man Under-16 Boys hockey squad have secured a national title whilst competing in England this weekend.
In a commanding display in Nottingham this afternoon (2 April) the Manx side emerged winners of the EH U16 Boys Tier 2 Plate with a 6-1 victory over Hampton-in-Arden.
After exiting the Tier 2 KO Championships with a 5-1 defeat to Chester, they've gone on to register five straight wins in the Tier 2 Plate on their way to taking the silverware.
Over the whole period they’ve gone on to score 32 goals whilst conceding just nine.
They've included wins against youth teams from established English clubs such as Timperley, Beeston and Guildford.
