Report by Ben Cunningham:

In the Men’s Cup Vikings A who lost their first match of the season last week play Castletown A who will be looking to take the opportunity if possible to cause a cup upset if they can. The other semi-final sees Bacchas A who beat Vikings last weekend in the league take on a Valkyrs A side who were looking to challenge those at the top but they also suffered defeat last weekend when they played Harlequins A.

In the Ladies Cup we see two very close ties, the first semi final is between Bacchas A and Vikings A these two met just last weekend in the league and Bacchas took the victory giving Vikings their first league defeat of the season - can Bacchas do it again or can Vikings get back to winning ways? Semi-final number two sees Valkyrs A play Castletown A - this match will be a close match and one that I think will go all the way to penalty flicks these two sides are evenly matched and could come down to just possibly one moment of magic to take the win.

In the Men's Plate Castletown B who are currently in the league trying to avoid relegation play Vikings C who are currently sitting nicely in mid table in their respective league both these sides will want to have a good cup run and will want to be in that finals day. Ramsey A will play Vikings B in the other semi the northerners will be coming into this knowing they have the beating of Vikings as these two sides met last weekend and Ramsey came out victorious I’m sure though Vikings B will be wanting to get one back and possible set up an all-Vikings derby in the final if Vikings C can beat Castletown B

In the Ladies Plate Castletown C play Valkyrs B, the southerners will be wanting to have a good cup run however Valkyrs just missed out on taking this title last year in the final so I’m sure they will be desperately trying to do it this year. It’s a battle of the B teams in the other semi which sees Bacchas B take on Vikings B who currently sit top of their respective league and are looking in really good form, however Bacchas are keeping the chase on them in the league at the top and will be wanting to make sure they are in finals day if they can beat Vikings B.

In the Ladies Bowl Castletown D who are sitting in top spot in ladies division two play Vikings C who have had a mix bag of results but will be hoping they can possible have a good cup run if they can overcome the southerners this weekend. Elsewhere Ramsey B play Valkyrs C in what looks a very closely evenly matched game that I think possibly could go all the way to penalty flicks to give the outcome of who will be heading into finals weekend.

Elsewhere we do have one rearranged league fixture in men’s Division two and that’s sees Valkyrs C play Bacchas D, also we have three league fixtures in the U15’s league and they are Bacchas playing Ramsey Rogues & Rascals, Vikings Playing Valkyrs and finally Harlequins meet Castletown Sabres.
