Bacchas A win crucial game at the top

Bacchas A came out on top in a crucial fixture in the Mens Hockey Premier League this weekend as they have their eyes firmly set on the league trophy.

Jamie Brown, Johnny Callow and Andrew Whiting were all on target in their 3-1 win over Valkyrs A.

Meanwhile Bacchas B's use of experience and youth yielded them a 2-2 draw away at Ramsey A.

Ali Slack and Craig Leece's goals were cancelled out by John Gower-Jackson and Juan Kermeen for Ramsey A.

It's now advantage Vikings B in the Mens Hockey Division One title race.

They were ruthless in front of goal in their 8-2 demolition of Harlequins A.

Macklin Wilson scored a hat-trick, with goals Raj Nanda, Ash Dougal and Ash Osbourne also on the scoresheet.

Pete Nuttall and Chris Cave both converted short corners for Quins as their winning run came to an abrupt end.

Steve Cottier scored another hat-trick for Saracens A as they comfortably beat Bacchas Colts 4-1.

Meanwhile Ramsey B suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Vikings Colts.

David Rivers, Ian Perry and Christian Davies all among the goals for the victorious hosts - Jake Moore netted for Ramsey.

There was better news for Harlequins in the Mens Hockey Division Two as their B team put four past Bacchas C.

Sam Lancaster, Phil Hassall, Joe Middleton and Elliott Henson were all on the scoresheet.

Two goals each for Louis Porter and Johnny Cain also meant a comfortable win for Valkyrs B at home to Castletown B.

Graham Shimmin rounding off the scorers in a 5-0 win.
