Report by Sam Spooner:

Vikings A have held the lead in the Rossborough Mixed Premier League since the first weekend with a fine win over their nearest challengers Ramsey A. Vikings A could win the league this weekend when they face Valkyrs A should Ramsey A somehow lose to Bacchas B. Ramsey however will be hoping Valkyrs A can take a point or two away from Vikings so they can go level at the top of the league and with Vikings A playing both Valkyrs A and Bacchas A over the next two weeks this league is still very much up for grabs. Elsewhere Valkyrs B will be hoping to pick up a miracle win against Vikings B to ensure they go into the final weekend level with Bacchas B at the bottom of the table and stave off relegation. Bacchas A face Castletown Celts knowing that a win would cement their 3rd place in the league whilst Celts will want to continue to prove their top tier credentials and take both points on offer themselves.

In Rossborough Mixed Division One Valkyrs C hold a 4 point advantage in their title charge only conceding two goals and scoring 23 themselves and should they pick up even a point this weekend it would guarantee them promotion. Few would doubt that they will come away with both points on offer when they face Castletown Cammags who despite a difficult season have picked up over the past few weeks and will prove a challenge for the westerners but Valkyrs are the outright favourites to win. Elsewhere Vikings C take on Castletown Cushags with Vikings proving last week they have what it takes in this league after defeating the hugely impressive Harlequins A and will be certainly be challenging for second in the league and hoping that Harlequins drop points when they face a strong Bacchas Colts side who still have designs on second place themselves. Last but not least Ramsey Ravens take on Castletown Southerners in a match that Ravens will be desperate to win to aid their survival in this division. Ramsey are certainly a better side than people give them credit for and they will be hopeful of causing an upset when they face Castletown’s second string.

Rossborough Mixed Division Two Could see a winner crowned if Vikings D can overcome their nearest rivals Ramsey Rookies and Valkyrs D drop even a point against Vikings D. In reality it is likely to come down to the final week with Vikings D carrying a two point lead into the final weekend. Vikings will be the favourites to beat Rookies but they will certainly be made to work for any points they may take home, whilst Valkyrs D should  continue to put pressure on Valkyrs D as they go into their game against Vikings E as overriding favourites. Elsewhere Bacchas C take on Castletown Cosney and Castletown Carrick search for their first points of the season when they face Harlequins B.

Despite being in the driving seat currently Vikings U16 will be hunting for two points when they face Valkyrs in the Rossborough Mixed U16 League and with the westerns still in with an outside chance of the league title they will be going all out for the win. Harlequins are breathing down their neck level on points and take on Bacchas A who only sit one point behind the top two and the result on this game could have a huge baring on the title destination in the final weekend. Castletown A will be hoping the teams above them slip up when they take on their own second team as they only sit 1 point from the top two as well.  Elsewhere Ramsey Rogues & Rascals take on Bacchas B in Ramsey with both sides hunting down the top 5 teams in the final two weeks. This league is unbelievably close with 5 sides sitting within two points of each other and with 2 points for a win this league could be blown wide open this weekend.
