Despite breaking his left leg again at the beginning of last month, eight-time T.T. winner Ian Hutchinson says he is still optimistic about competing at T.T. 2012.
Hutchy originally suffered severe breaks to the leg at Silverstone in September 2010 when he was run over by another competitor after a fall in wet conditions.
His surgeon has confirmed the latest set-back is a completely different injury and dismissed talk of any ongoing weakness.
Hutchinson did make a comeback to racing at Macau last November.
