Referee development officer says all incidents are treated very seriously
The Isle of Man FA has seen an increase in the number of reports of abuse towards referees in Manx football this season.
That's according to the Island's referee development officer, following the findings of a recent survey of grassroots officials in the UK.
A recent questionnaire in Britain was answered by more than 900 referees - with hundreds saying they'd experience verbal or physical attacks which affected their physical and/or mental health.
Paul Hodskinson says any incidents locally are treated very seriously and support networks are available to any official who needs them:
