Five compete over two classes

A party of five riders from the Isle of Man Youth Trials Club made their way to Devon at the weekend for rounds two and three of the British Youth Trials Championship.

Conditions were warm and sunny on both days of competition on what were very difficult and demanding courses.

In the C Class, for riders aged nine to eleven years old, it was Bobby Moyer who came home with two cracking rides, finishing sixth on the first day and improving to fourth on the second.

Owen Chestnut also put in two great rides finishing close behind in ninth on day one and improving to eighth on day two.

Oscar Lace had an unfortunate crash on day one which put him out of the event but he recovered sufficiently on day two to come home with a creditable 14th.

The D class, for riders between six and nine years old saw seven-year-old, Stanley Cubbon performed really well with an eighth on day one, and showed great improvement on day two to take a fine fourth place.

Kai Kiernan was also on good form with a day one finish of tenth, improving on day two to eighth place.

The next two rounds of the British Youth Trials Championship take place on the Isle of Man on July 30 and 31.
