Hopes to still take relatively large squad to Glasgow next summer
Team Isle of Man says it's positive to see the Isle of Man will still have a relatively large team heading to the scaled-down Commonwealth Games next summer.
In a change from previous events, the new-look games taking place in Glasgow in 2026 will feature ten sports, down from the 19 seen in Birmingham back in 2022.
Despite this, the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association (IOMCGA) is anticipating the total amount of contenders they can take could be 'in the mid-20's'.
Although an exact squad size isn't confirmed yet, Team Isle of Man Chef du Mission, Erica Bellhouse believes next summer will provide important opportunities for a good amount of local competitors:
Rugby: Bevan Rodd on bench for England's opening Six Nations match
MGP 26: A new Quayle set for the start line
Football: Douglas Royal face Peel in Floodlit Cup Final clash
Hockey: Three wins for Island sides in England Championships
