Jeceris Invitational to be held in Braddan next month
An Isle of Man martial arts club is hoping to host an international event for the first time next month.
The inaugural Jeceris Invitational is due to be hosted by Summit Grappling Academy on Saturday, 6 December at The Roundhouse in Braddan.
It's hoped the professional event will shine a light on the strength of the grappling scene on the Isle of Man as well as welcoming top competitors both locally and from different parts of the world.
Head Coach of Summit Grappling Academy, Conrad Roberts, hopes it will appeal to anyone who has an interest in a wide variety of combat sports and thinks it will benefit the martial arts scene on Island for the future:
The show is expected to feature local and international athletes competing in both Gi and No-Gi submission grappling, including ADCC and CJI veterans as well as multiple IBJJF champions.
Doors will open on the day at The Roundhouse at 3pm with the live action getting started from 4pm.
Tickets to attend are now on sale and a full pay-per-view livestream will also be available via Fightworld.tv.
A full replay of the pay-per-view will also be available 72 hours after broadcast.
