Johnson takes first TT win

Gary Johnson has claimed a maiden TT victory in today's Supersport 2 race.

The 30-year-old, from Brigg in Lincolnshire brought his East Coast Construction Honda home eight-and-a-half seconds ahead of John McGuinness.

Guy Martin was third for the third time in a row this week.

Conor Cummins finished a very creditable sixth.

Afterwards, Johnson told Chris Kinley it was a great feeling: (play audio clip)

There was controversy though after a red flag was mistakenly waved at Ramsey Hairpin as the leaders were pitting at the end of lap two.

Speaking after the race, Martin said he saw one at Union Mills as well, which slowed him up.
