Askin and Horton also secure British Masters squad places
Isle of Man Judo athletes secured three medals whilst taking part in the recent British Masters in the UK.
The Manx duo of Sean Askin and Chris Horton took to the mat at UELSportsDock in London during the event on 15 October.
Competing at national level for the first time since 2019, Askin was involved in the men's U90kg category whilst Horton was out to retain his place in the British squad in the men's U100kg class.
A dominant display in the M1 section from Askin saw him go all the way to claim gold and later in the day would also bag silver in the Kyu grade category, only losing out in the final.
Meanwhile, Horton contested the M3 group and after losing his opening contest went on to take back-to-back wins on his way to reaching the semi-finals and eventually taking bronze.
Furthermore, both their performances now see Askin earn a place alongside Horton in the British Masters squad for 2024.
