Kneen takes latest DTL round

Ayre Clay Target Club hosted the fifth round of their Down the Line competition at Blue Point on Sunday, kindly sponsored by Dave and Pam Corlett.

Marty Kneen was the leader at the halfway point, with a 25 from 25, using the second barrel once for a points score of 74 ex 75.

Bob Corlett was in second on 24/70, leading Dad, Dave Corlett in third on 23/68.

Kneen missed one target in the second round to score 24/71 but had done enough to take the win on 49/145.

Bob won the battle of the Corletts against Dave, scoring 97/283 to finish second with Mike Walker taking third overall on 96/278.

It had been a while since Sarah-Jo Wales had shot Down the Line, but as the only lady shooter on the day she put in a creditable score of 47/132 to take second in C Class.

Also held at Blue Point on Sunday was the Top Spec Fencing-sponsored Double Trap league competition.

Neil Parsons came out on top with a score of 123/150, with Jake Keeling in second on 120 and Kevin Oates in third with 109.

This week’s competition is a 75-target FITASC sporting, entries close at 10.15am.
