Move due to fewer Covid restrictions
The Latvian capital Riga will host the FIDE Chess.com Grand Swiss and Women's Swiss events.
They were due to take place in the Isle of Man at the end of October but the venue was switched because of Covid-19 restrictions.
Over a hundred and fifty competitors will take part as they seek qualification for the World championship.
The International Chess Federation chose Latvia as the country doesn't require visitors to self-isolate upon entry.
