Linton Taylor (Leeds Doss AC) won Saturday’s Peel Hill Climb to put himself in the leading pack in the Celton Manx Isle of Man Easter Festival of Running.

He added to his ninth spot in Good Friday’s opener to move joint second in the standings, along with race runner-up Tom Martyn (Hunters Bog Trotters).

Dave Norman (Manchester University), who finished fourth, is the event’s overall leader going into Easter Day’s final round on Douglas promenade.

Ollie Lockley of Manx Harriers was the highest local and finished seventh.

Cambridge and Coleridge athlete Georgina Schwiening made it two wins out of two in the women’s race.

Caroline Lambert (Wetherby Runners) also secured back-to-back runner-up spots.

Northern Athletic Club athlete Rosy Craine is the leading local in 10th spot overall.
